In this reflection I will be reviewing a game. What Game? Just Dance 2019. As we know Just Dance is a game where you dance to the moves that you see during a song. This series of games have been going on since 2009 when it came out for the Nintendo Wii. Yes of course I have over Just Dance games, but 2019 caught my eye. The only reason it caught my eye is because it had a wide range of different music genres. Then again it also has music that I listen to personally in which case people asked for the song to be in. Once you get this game they get your information like your name and something new is having to know where you are from, whether it be in the United States or somewhere else. They have this feature because you get to see what other players high scores are on a song. I feel as though that's a good driven factor to have in a game, a classic. Who wouldn't want to beat someone at their favorite song. Not only does this game give new dance moves, different backgrounds and effects, but it also has similar features to any of the older games. The rating for graphics is 8, music is 9 (some aren't my taste), controls is 9 and the gameplay is 9 as well. And I know they have been doing so much in order to complete this game. From planning and many other new skills/techniques I believe they made an amazing job.

For the past few days of the second quarter we've gotten a lot done. From programming wise to 3D modeling I believe things are going great for the team as a whole. One of my team-mates had done the 2nd floor of a building at school which is amazing. She's located where the windows and doors should be. It's amazing because I've started to do the 1st floor of the building. I've done merely a basic model of the whole floor. Once I did that I made sure to put everything together and now I'm doing the stairs to make sure the height is there for the Atrium. At first I though to myself "yeah , this will be easy", but I was somewhat wrong. Okay I have the stairs etc., but if I really took a closer look at the building the outside is a weird shape as well as the inside in some parts. I was really disappointed in me because not only I have been in that school for 7 years (since 6th grade. aka. I was a Knight), but I walk in and out in that building and still I have to take reference pictures. I have to make sure that I'm not getting the wrong shape of the building. I still have lots of work to do, but I know I'm so close. That really we're so close into putting everything in place for this game. One other challenging thing about this is that really the scaling. Then probably the programming upon the Chicken and the Pigs. Right now things are going well, but we'll see what happens. Hopefully I'm wanting to finish the building before we go to winter break. Of course, what I've been using to create walls is the AEC tool. I actually want to learn more about them and not just free-fall it. But that's something I'll talk about when I see something interesting through research.
Agenda for Next Week:
There were lots of things that have been going on for the past weeks on this quarter. From shifting to one project to another everything's been out of place for me. For about two weeks I've been working on 360 videos in Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects. Now that I have moved into 3ds Max I've been making progress. I've been looking up information to help improve my skills in 3ds Max as a whole. Because I feel as though I can do more than what I can do now. From creating walls, stairs, railings and other models I though it was time to do more detailed models in general. I thought it would be a nice idea to know how to make seats and even weird shapes. I've been wanting to use a technique in 3ds Max called Topology Freeform Function. What this function help with is simplifying the models because of the massive number of polys produced. In the function I can use many new ways of creating models in a different system. From bridging, isolation mode and more there's a lot I would like to explore through 3ds Max. There are tutorials that help shape what it does and how to use some of the tools in the Topology Freeform Function (area.autodesk.com/tutorials/series/3ds-max-modeling-techniques/3ds-max-modeling-techniquestopology-freeform-function/ and area.autodesk.com/tutorials/series/3ds-max-modeling-techniques/3ds-max-modeling-techniques-topology-freeform-function-part-2/). I would try this on not only the Chicken and Pigs, but as well as other models that I will have to create. Like for example chairs, desks, and many more.
In this past week I've been working on many different ways to stitch a 360 video. There's actually many ways to do it not just in Adobe Premiere, but you could also do it in Adobe After Effects. And there's also a bunch of other programs that you can go to for the stitching. I mean on some of the programs you it automatically does it for you. Which is great, but then again sometimes it doesn't work. You'll probably have to figure out how to edit which is something I should know. Mostly since in last week's blog post I talked about how I found something that could actually work. I have done more research ion it and came across another maybe helpful video. The process that I want to try is the first video I think will help, but I need them to be in a fisheye view and then I will go from there. I've seen the first video multiple times which means there are some steps that are buried in my mind. I feel so close to figuring things out, but there's always something up. Even though the video needs to be in Equirectangular projection I need it to be in a fisheye layout. That's what i'm trying to figure out. Because not only do I want to figure it out in Premiere but in After effects as well. And when I did the editing in After effects I thought it was easier and much more nicer. For example I learned that by wanting to take away that line (Picture-1), even though it's been stitched you can still see it, you can take the brush tool and lightly blend it with the color in the video to make it look like one projection. I will say I did more than last week, but not that much. I would love to do more than what I've done and push myself. Agenda for next week-
For the past week and the next I will be working on 360 footage. Learning how to stitch, animate, edit and many other fancy things. First off I've been doing some research on stitching the video footage. There's many ways of stitching even in different programs including Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, and many more other programs. I just needed to make sure that I figured it out in one and go form there. I've actually have been doing the editing in Adobe After Effects. I actually followed a tutorial which really helped me through, but I ran into some problems along the way. Which is normal for me, but then again here are some minor differences that I will probably take note on for others in my class including my teacher. I have been messing around though once I started to get further into the stitching. I feel as though I have been making some progress along the way since I think I can at least get to the point of stitching and making a tour of DSA. As well as doing another video and putting in affect in order to put the video in VR. This website has the tutorial which I used in order to make some progress (www.premiumbeat.com/blog/video-tutorial-360-footage-effects/). Next time I think I will use a monoscopic view in order to make things more easier. Agenda for next week:
